How I work

I trained as a mechanical engineer.

I tend to start by understanding how a system actually works: where demand comes from, how information moves, what gets measured, and where the constraints sit.

My work spans search, technology, product development, automation, analytics, and AI. The value is not in doing everything. It is in identifying which decision matters most, understanding the consequences, and helping the right people act on it.

I still build and work with the technology I advise on. That keeps the recommendations grounded in what works today.

  1. Understand the system. Start with the business, the evidence, and the constraints.
  2. Find the constraint. Focus on the decision most likely to change the outcome.
  3. Build what compounds. Prioritize capabilities, data, and relationships that become more valuable over time.
